Nothing is known about the maker of this pot – c. 10 cm h., probably a tobacco jar without its lid – which is signed "F.(?) Ligot". No potter of that name is mentioned in Fauconnier & Migeot, Sel et feu (1995), but apparently the Ligot belonged to the first families of potters to be mentioned for the Bouffioulx-Châtelet region.
