Jasba 537-28 and 537-16, decor Essen

A set drip-glazed Jasba vases, the classic shape 537 (16 and 28 cm h.), decor 'Essen. This shape was first documented in 1951. These 50s vases – even if overtly un-modern – fascinate through their organic, smooth shape and natural but erratic colours, with conspicuous uranium glaze orange accent, esp. on the handles. Many items in different shapes were produced in decor Essen.
